I’m a little bit tired of all the advice, the do’s and don’ts, the little comments, the magazine articles, all telling me, a woman at menopause, what is appropriate for a “woman my age.” Are you tired too?
What if you had permission to do/dress/be in whatever way most fed your spirit, whatever way lit up your heart the most?
Would you…
wear flowers in your hair * get a tattoo * rock a bikini * or wear an awesome flowery caftan to the beach
Would you…
tell them you’re taking a break from making dinner * stay up late drinking bourbon and listening to (or playing) the blues * paint * go dancing
Would you…
go on a silent retreat * say NO * have hot sex every night * or become celibate, whatever YOU want.
Would you…
serve yourself first * wear jeans and stillettos
– or combat boots * grow your hair long * or cut it all off
Would you…
wear mini-skirts * let them do their own laundry * say YES * go on a deluxe holiday by yourself * put rainbow colours in your hair
How would YOU do it differently if you had permission to be age inappropriate? Well, today, YOU HAVE PERMISSION. Tell me in the comments – what would you love to do that’s age inappropriate???
Love,
Bronwyn
