Our big Wednesday announcement of business reinvention has been received by you all with such wonderful stories and excitement. Thank you so much for being with us in this transition and for sharing your encouragement and joy.
Normally we post some goodness for all five senses on Wednesdays, that awkward middle part of the week where we feel sluggish and time slows to taffy speed and a beautiful list of soul-care loveliness is exactly what we need to get by. This week, though, we totally subverted the Wednesday Slump with our renaming announcement. It turns out that Wednesdays can support creative energy, too (who knew?)
Now it’s the weekend, but it’s not too late for some beauty and delight. Hopefully this offers you a soft place to fall for your sweet Sunday evening.. We’ll be back to our new routine next week and a brand new theme that builds on this week’s.
Sight
We’ve curated a gorgeous Pinterest board for you that feels like dreams and plans for reinvention. Take a look and be inspired.
Sound
We’re feeling open roads, paper maps, and all the windows rolled down. Here’s a playlist you can crank up loud while you have all the feelings. A daytrip to the coast sure sounds nice.
Scent
As you can see from our Instagram and blog feeds this week, everything is coming up roses. We are especially captivated by soft, luxuriously fragranced blooms. Velvet petals, vivid hues, and shapes from dainty to complete show-off, we are feeling a deep connection to this passionate flower.
Touch
Bronwyn and I both have tattoos which carry deep personal meanings and we’re always dreaming of more. We’re not at all worried about how they will look as we continue to age. Of course they aren’t for everyone, just like any other form of adornment or art, but they can be a beautiful statement of sovereignty and power. Regardless of whether you ever have or ever would get inked, I think you can agree that this Portland, OR tattoo artist does incredible work. Her photo feed is absolutely dreamy. {photo by Kiera Lillesve Foto from our Menopause Retreat in Santa Barbra this Spring.}
Taste
Toast your journey and your process of reinvention! Sparkling water with lime juice and mint leaves is beautiful and non-alcoholic and so pretty served in tall glasses. A flute of prosecco or a little jam jar of rose’ is our personal favorite way to celebrate new beginnings and hard-won victories. Yes, I did say jam jar. Midlife reinvention is all about breaking society’s rules. Cheers!
Sixth Sense
New paintbrushes and fresh tubes of paint are an invitation to create something which has never before existed. Do you make time for art and for play? If not now, then when? Midlife is a wonderful time to try something new. Forget perfection and forget rules. Make something you love. Make something that looks the way your soul feels.
Wishing you a sense of lightness and ease as you consider your own reinvention.
Xo,
Annagrace
