Full Moon Wisdom

How are you feeling? We are just coming out of the intense energies of yesterday’s Capricorn Full Moon… have you noticed, as we enter the Wisdom Years, that although our bodies no longer cycle so obviously with the moon, that we are still profoundly tuned to and aligned with the lunar cycles? If you are curious about working with lunar cycles, you can start very simply by just noticing when the moon is full and when she is new. On the full moon energy (where we are now) we can ask the question “What is being illuminated?” and on the New Moon we can ask “What seed are being sown?” Just by tuning in twice a month and asking these questions, you can begin to align yourself with lunar energies.

Every month, I share my thoughts about the New and Full Moons, and my readings of the lunar energies, with the subscribers to my Artful Life Moon Journal Pages. Here is just a little bit of what I shared about the energies of yesterdays Capricorn Full Moon:

Remember that the key question at any full moon is WHAT IS BEING ILLUMINATED?

This Capricorn Full Moon and her aspects are illuminating our dreams and our emotions. The result is that we may be feeling a little bit raw and vulnerable – or a little bit volatile.

It’s time… you’ve been struggling with uncertainty for quite a while now, but you know now what you really want. You know what the dream is. You know what you need, and you know where your life is falling short of fulfilling that dream and that need. SO here in the sign of hard work and practicality, here is where the “rubber hits the road…” What work needs to happen in your life to answer your unmet needs and bring your deeply desired dreams to reality?

Despite the way it might feel right in this moment (vulnerable crabby exposed raw maybe a bit angry?) this time, this choice, the actions taken under this moon are really all about finding your joy.

An image for this moon: An open, beating heart. I want you to consider the idea that THE HEART IS A MUSCLE. It is probably the most hardworking muscle in your body. It may feel raw and vulnerable, but it is powerful, electric, relentless, and it never stops as long as you live.

Trust your heart. It is tender, wise, and incredibly strong.
